This is what I experienced around a year back when I was watching “Titans of space” VR app from DrashVR LLC. My daughter shared this experience with me when we were talking about VR and Space, our common subjects of interest, & I fell in love with the experience. Whenever I introduce VR to someone this app comes to the topic.

Titans of space is an educational app. It shows the magnitude of solar system and stars on your mobile. To feel the scale of the planetary bodies one must experience it in VR. In it you can learn about planets and moon of our solar system.

You will be sitting in a cockpit of space ship, in your view you can see a stationary control panel and your legs (Virtual). It ingenious way to solve the simulation sickness some of us may feel when drifting from planet to planet.

It’s freemium model app, it gives the experience for free but if you want to know more, purchase it. Voice over narration is good , you can also purchase different voices.

After all the good things, if you have “Megalophobia”, morbid and irrational fear of large objects, then avoid it. This app shows the Titans of space. I also felt it first time but came over it by pushing myself in to it again and again.

Remapping the Animation Hierarchy in Unity

Working with animations in Unity has some quirks. Sometimes I will make an animation and I animated the wrong object. I might have realized I want to animate the container for an object, or accidentally animated the parent when I wanted to animate the child (this happens more often than I’d like to admit!). Cube2 has been renamed to MegaCube, breaking the animation. Unity does not come out of the box with functionality to remap animations between objects.  But there are a few options to make your life easier.
